MGM paramedical students stage dharna

Jamshedpur, Nov 25: The striking para-medics students of State-run Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital (MGM) staged a dharna in the hospital premises on Monday, November 25.

The paramedical students went on strike on Thursday after they received a cold response by the State Health Minister Rajendra Prasad Singh at the local circuit house on Wednesday evening.

The students, who are pursuing a two-year course at the medical college, have long been demanding stipend, hostel facility and guarantee of service.

The ongoing strike has left the health services at the hospital hampered as about 250 paramedical students went on indefinite strike from Thursday.

Most affected are the labour rooms where the doctors are facing hard time to meet the situation.
