Mera ghar, mera ped program launched in TRF Colony

Jamshedpur, July 12: P S Reddy, managing director, TRF along with R K Rahi, general secretary, Tata-Robins-Fraser Labor Union, planted the first sapling under the annual tree plantation program, �Mera ghar, mera ped� at TRF Colony on Tuesday.

Many senior executives of the company, employees and their family members, members of Tata-Robins Fraser Labor Union participated voluntarily in �Mera ghar, mera ped� program and planted over 400 saplings in the colony.

The tree plantation program was part of the numerous activities that were conducted during the month starting with World Environment Day.

Some of the events that were held across the company during this period were enhancement of rain water storage pond in the TRF Works and tree plantation in the adjoining area, environment quiz, environment awareness lecture by Prof Tata Raghuram, XLRI, and garbage green bag campaign with the help of Relearn Foundation, an NGO.

The tree plantation program was launched today, this year, after assuring that the soil had received adequate rainfall which would help to improve the survival of the newly planted saplings.
