Chaibasa, Sept 20: A 15-year-old student, Jayanti Pramanik of Taira village under Sonua police station, committed suicide at the Golumunda railway crossing between Sonua and Lotapahar stations. The incident reportedly occurred late Tuesday evening. Approximately 15 hours after the incident, the police arrived at the scene upon receiving information on Wednesday morning. They recovered the student’s body and sent it for post-mortem.
According to reports, the 15 year old had been suffering from mental issues and she had quit going to school a few days earlier. The reports further stated that the deceased left her Taira village home on Tuesday and took the ultimate step by committing suicide at the Golumunda rail crossing.
