‘Darling’ Mukhi swarmed on arrival, emotional mother kisses son Gourav

Jamshedpur, Oct 8: Jamshedpur Football Club’s (JFC) Men in Red were given a rousing reception on their arrival to their home base. However, the loud and clear adulation was reserved for local lad Gourav Mukhi who, with his precision movement netted the first goal of the equalizer to pump up his team mates at the fag end of the pulsating match to level scores with last ISL season’s runners-up Bengaluru FC.

Gourav Mukhi’s fans from his home locality in Dhatkidih reached the Kadma flatlets where JFC players have been put up, long before the arrival of the team bus. They came with traditional percussion instruments and their beats pumped more adrenaline into the excited crowd that had gathered to receive the JFC players.

One among them was a beaming mother whose son Gourav had made football fanatics sit up and watch the agility of the indomitable footballer who is poised to be a big name in Indian football.

As the team bus arrived at the flatlets, the fans specially the small kids in Jamshedpur FC jersey started dancing to the tunes of the traditional drums. The driver of the bus had to negotiate to enter the flatlets premises.

While the fans were trying hard to have selfie clicked with their favourite star, Gourav Mukhi’s mother Vijayshri arrived at the flatlets much before the team and entered the premises.

She just couldnt contain her excitement after seeing Gourav and grabbed him in her arms. Cameras caught a beautiful mother-son moment as an emotional mother kissed her son.

Vijayshri Mukhi said, whole family is very happy and excited with Gourav’s performance. ‘Every parent wants his child to reach new heights and we want Gourav to continue playing his natural game and make a name for his city and India’.

Jamshedpur FC celebrated the homecoming by cutting a cake. Head coach of the team Cesar Ferrando and senior player Tim Cahill held the cake cutting ceremony along with Gourav Mukhi.

Earlier, members of Red Miners and Mukhi fans club escorted the JFC team bus from Kandra to Kadma flatlets.

Gourav Mukhi was seen in a new look hair colour when he took to ground against Bengaluru FC. As he arrived in his blond look the football fans in the city were amazed, many of his close friends knew about this new look.
