Jamshedpur: A review meeting of the district welfare department, East Singhbhum, was held at the Jamshedpur Collectorate on Friday.
District Planning Officer Dr Ajay Kumar said integrated efforts were needed to improve the performance of East Singhbhum district in the execution of various Central and state government schemes.
He said East Singhbhum is one of the 115 backward districts earmarked for the implementation of various ambitious health and welfare projects of the Central and state governments.
Kumar stressed the need to free the district from measles and rubella. He said an intensive campaign would be launched across the district to eradicate these diseases.
