Press Club of Jamshedpur to host tournament at Mohan Ahuja Stadium
Jamshedpur, March 16: Press Club of Jamshedpur will organise Media Badminton Championship 2023 at Mohan Ahuja Stadium near JRD Tata Sports Complex from March 17-20.
More than 150 journalists along with 10 women scribes will participate in the championship.
On the eve of the championship, a preparation meet was convened on Thursday which was presided over by President of Press Club Prashant Kumar Singh Putul.
President informed that the competition will be officially inaugurated on March 17 at 12 noon but the tournament matches will kick off at 10 am.
March 18 will be rest day while the remaining matches will be played on Sunday, March 19.
After this, the event will conclude on March 20.
Prashant Singh said that Kolhan Commissioner Manoj Kumar will be present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony. Officials of Tata Steel and other dignitaries will also be present during the inauguration.
Also present at the meeting were general secretary Anjani Pandey, Patron Jayprakash Rai, Sports Coordinator Jayesh Thaker, Secretary Binay Purti, Vidyasagar Singh, Media in-charge Manoj Kumar Singh and others.
