Interpol Issues Red Corner Notice for Jamshedpur’s Md Arshiyan

Police Intensify Search Ahead of Republic Day

Jamshedpur: Ahead of Republic Day, security agencies across India are on a high-alert mode following threats from Al-Qaeda and Jaish-e-Mohammed regarding potential strikes at 26 locations nationwide. In a significant development, the Delhi Police has released posters of 14 most-wanted terror suspects, featuring Md Arshiyan, a resident of Azadnagar, Jamshedpur.

International Hunt: Interpol Red Corner Notice Issued

On the request of the CBI, Interpol has issued a Red Corner Notice against Md Arshiyan. This international alert signifies that Arshiyan is now a wanted man globally. Security agencies suspect that he may have fled the country or is operating within an international terror network. His name prominently appears in the Delhi Police list as an operative linked to Al-Qaeda.

The Family Connection and Past Links

Investigations reveal that Arshiyan’s brother, Md Zeeshan, is already in custody at a Delhi jail. Zeeshan was arrested on August 9, 2017, for his alleged involvement with terror outfits. The names of the two brothers first surfaced in 2016 following the arrest of Abdul Rehman Katki, an Al-Qaeda operative in Odisha. Since then, the duo has been under the scanner for their deep-rooted links to the terror network.

Jamshedpur Police on High Alert

The identification of Md Arshiyan has sent Jharkhand and Jamshedpur district police into a state of high vigilance. Security has been beefed up in the Azadnagar area, specifically around Road Number 14, where Arshiyan resided. Police are currently monitoring his relatives, old contacts, and former hideouts. Local authorities have urged citizens to report any suspicious activities immediately as the search intensifies both nationally and internationally.
