Mayor Orders Immediate Fix for Hazardous Dimna-MGM Road

Jamshedpur: Commuters and motorists traveling between Mango Dimna Chowk and MGM Hospital will soon find relief from chronic waterlogging and hazardous potholes. Mayor Sudha Gupta has assured citizens of a permanent fix for the deteriorating stretch.

Mayor Conducts On-Site Inspection; Immediate Repairs Begin

For a long time, the lack of proper sloping on both sides of this main road led to frequent accidents. Deep potholes and stagnant water further complicated travel for local residents.

Upon learning of these grievances, Mayor Sudha Gupta personally inspected the site. During her visit, she observed that the uneven road surface caused vehicles to lose balance, significantly increasing the risk of mishaps.

Acting on the mayor’s direct orders, municipal workers immediately began levelling the road with slag (industrial ash) to provide instant relief to the public.

Permanent Action Plan in Development

Mayor Sudha Gupta clarified that the current repairs serve only as a temporary measure. She has instructed officials to prioritize the following:

• Technical Survey: The Municipal Corporation will conduct a technical survey to design a permanent solution for the drainage and road level.
• Quality Control: The mayor directed officials to ensure high-quality construction and maintenance to prevent these issues from recurring.
• Accountability: She emphasized that the administration will not tolerate any negligence regarding public safety and grievance redressal.
