Ranchi: The Mayor of Ranchi Municipal Corporation Asha Lakra today took oath of her office in the presence of KK Khandelwal, commissioner of South Chhotanagpur Division.
Many dignitaries were present on the occasion. They included former Speaker CP Singh, deputy commissioner of Ranchi Vinay Kumar Choubey, deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijay Vargiya and CEO Manoj Kumar.
Speaking after the oath taking ceremony, Asha Lakra said improving the condition of drains and roads in the Capital would be her priority. She said steps would be taken to prevent water-logging and clogging of drains in the city.
