Gamharia, May 6: Master Chef competition was organized at Gamharia XITE College in which the participants comprised BBA, B Com, Bachelor of Arts in English and Economics Honors students.
A kitchen and sales counters were set up by all the students in the college campus. The panel of judges included AK Srivastava and Dr Sanchita Ghosh Chowdhary.
Professors Shalu Kant and Sushmita Sen Chowdhary who were among those present on the occasion, appreciated the efforts of the students. They said that such events helped students to test their entrepreneurial ideas. “The Master-Chef competition will help students get hands-on experience in analyzing customer preferences, selecting food, identifying costs and price points, testing business concepts and other allied areas.” The food stalls with the preparations by the participating ‘Master Chefs’ were crowded with students appreciating the culinary expertise of the participants. Vice Principal Father Mukti, Prof Amit, Dr Radha Mahali, Dr Partha Priya Das, Naval Chowdhary, Prof Rajesh Rana and others were present on the occasion.
