Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Feb 8: Panic gripped Bhuiyandih’s Chhayanagar area under Sitaramdera police station area on Sunday afternoon after a massive fire broke out at the warehouse of Nandan Tent Decorators.
Thick plumes of smoke and towering flames alarmed local residents, who immediately alerted the fire brigade.

Responding swiftly, three fire tenders rushed to the spot and battled the blaze for nearly an hour before bringing it under control.

Police personnel also reached the area and secured the surroundings to prevent any untoward incident.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was triggered by a short circuit.
The inferno reduced tents, decorative fabrics, lighting equipment and other valuable materials stored in the warehouse to ashes.

The incident is feared to have caused heavy financial losses to the business owner. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the warehouse was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

The administration is currently assessing the extent of the damage and conducting a detailed probe into the cause of the blaze.
