Jamshedpur, June 14: A devastating fire erupted at the clothes warehouse of Jharkhand Bengal Transport, situated near the bucket factory at Shiv Ghat under the jurisdiction of Jugsalai police station. The inferno reduced property worth lakhs to ashes, causing chaos in the surrounding area.

The incident occurred around 5 pm, triggering panic among nearby transport operators who hastened to remove their belongings from their respective premises. Authorities promptly alerted the fire department, which swiftly dispatched two fire engines to the scene to combat the raging flames.

Local residents also rallied together, working tirelessly alongside the fire brigade to extinguish the fire and mitigate the damages. The origin of the fire remains unclear, leaving investigators to determine the cause of the incident.

Late in the evening, the Jharkhand Bengal Transport facility, located at Jugsalai Shiv Ghat, fell victim to the engulfing blaze. The warehouse, housing valuable clothing inventory worth lakhs, was ravaged by the flames.
