Mask checking campaign on large scale in Jamshedpur, shops sealed

Jamshedpur, April 15: In view of the outbreak of the second wave of Corona, District Administration East Singhbhum is conducting an awareness campaign among the general public about wearing masks and observing social distancing. To ensure compliance of the guideline issued by the state government, according to the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar, Incident Commander, Municipal Body Officer and all Block Development Officers in the rural area and Haat Bazaar, Shop and other public by the officer Compliance with government-issued SOPs at sites is being investigated. In the same sequence, during the mask checking in the district today, punishing the people who did not wear masks, while charging the amount of fine along with strict warning was given to wear masks. During this, the public appealed to the public to wear masks and comply with social distance. Along with this, action was taken by the officials to shift the haat bazaars to the open spaces / grounds as per the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner.

Mask checking campaign was carried out at Govindpur Haat Bazar by block development officer Praveen Kumar of Jamshedpur Sadar, while 5 shops were sealed for 3 days if they were found to be in violation of the Kovid protocol. Simultaneously, District Deputy Election Officer Kanu Ram Nag took action to seal 9 shops in Sakchi for 72 hours. This action was taken in all the above mentioned shops due to overcrowding and not wearing masks of staff and customers. Potka CO Imtiaz Ahmed, while running a mask checking campaign in Hata Chowk, sealed 3 shops for being found in violation of the Covid protocol. Jamshedpur Sadar CO Amit Srivastava has also sealed 1 shop due to overcrowding and violation of social distancing.
