Jamshedpur: Members of Marwari Yuva Manch organized a rally to save the girl child in the city. The rally was flagged off by Ruchi Narendran, social activist and wife of Tata Steel Managing Director TV Narendran.
Speaking on the occasion, Ruchi Narendran said the campaign was praiseworthy since it aimed at creating awareness among the people on the importance of the girl child and preventing female foeticide. She said the people should come forward and lend support to the cause of the girl child.
Many other dignitaries were present during the rally. They took a vow to protect the girl child and take measures to make other people aware about the importance of girl child in society.
