Members to take out candle march today, to meet DC
Jamshedpur: Members of Marwari community in the city have decided to take out a candle march to pay tributes to the six members of Maheshwari family killed under mysterious conditions near Khajanchi Talab in Hazaribagh on 14th July last.
A meeting of the outfit members was held at Shiv Mandir in Jugsalai on Tuesday in this connection. Presiding over the meeting, Nirmal Kabra, president of Marwari Sammelan, said the deaths appeared to be highly-suspicious and were not suicides caused by huge debt. He said the Marwari community was shocked by the incident.
At the meeting, it was decided to meet the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar tomorrow and give him a petition addressed to Chief Minister Raghubar Das. The candle march will be taken out from Kamani Centre to Postal Park at 6.30 pm. Members of various organizations would be participating in the candle march.
The community leaders also decided to leave for Hazaribagh on 19th July after converging at Rajasthan Bhavan, Bistupur, at 8 am.
Among those present at the meeting included Deepak Bhalotia, Umesh Shah, Chhitarmal Dhut, Mahesh Agiwal, Mahesh Lakhodia, Ratan Joshi, Anil Modi, Santosh Agrawal, Santosh Khaitan, Giridhari Lal Debuka, Ashok Modi, Shravan Mittal, Shravan Debuka, BN Sharma, Vimal Murarka, Mukesh Agiwal, Arun Gupta, Rajkumar Agrawal and Dharmachand Poddar.
