Martyred Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi’s family to be honored in Jamshedpur on April 1

Jamshedpur: The family of martyred Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi, who lost his life in an IED blast during patrolling at the Line of Control (LoC) in Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir, will be honored in Jamshedpur. The Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, in collaboration with the Bistupur Gurdwara Committee, has organized a grand event at Bistupur Gurdwara Hall on April 1, where a certificate of honor will be presented to the martyr’s family.
Providing details about the event, Bhagat Singh, the head of the Central Gurdwara Management Committee, stated that Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi’s father, Sardar Arjinder Singh Bakshi, mother, Bibi Harjeet Kaur, and sister, Bibi Jasmeet Kaur, will be visiting Jamshedpur from Hazaribagh. They will be accompanied by Avtar Singh, the president of Hazaribagh Gurdwara, and other committee members.
Chairman of the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Sardar Shailendra Singh, paid tribute to the sacrifice of Captain Bakshi, saying, “He laid down his life in the line of duty, and though he is no longer with us, his bravery and patriotism will continue to inspire us. The people of Jharkhand take immense pride in his supreme sacrifice.”
The event will witness the participation of various gurdwara committees, religious organizations, Akali Dal, Central Naujawan Sabha, and the Central Sikh Women’s Satsang Sabha. Additionally, district administration officials and members of different communities will also be present to honor the martyr’s legacy.
