Seraikela, Sep 29: A man was on Sunday arrested for allegedly molesting a minor girl in Ward No- 2 of Seraikela district, police said. The incident which happened under Ward n0-2 police station in the district, led to people staging angry protests.
The victim, a class 9 student was returning home late in the evening when the accused Jeetu Mukhi allegedly caught the girl by her hand and tried to pull her towards him. After the girl started screaming Mukhi fled from the scene.
After investigating the matter the Police Station in-charge BP Mahato and his team arrested married Jeetu Mukhi and send him to custody. Talking on the incident Mahato told that this type of behavior will not be tolerated and those accused will be punished severely.
