Jamshedpur: Hind Seva Samiti of Parsudih has come forth in protest of liquor storage at Parsudih Mandi (market) run by the Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti.
They said the district administration should make sure that liquor is not stocked in the mandi since it was against the rules of the market committee.
They said the purpose of the formation of market committee was to provide right price to farmers for their crops. The committee members met the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum Dr Amitabh Kaushal on Monday and handed over a memorandum to him.
They earlier raised slogans against liquor stocking and demanded cancellation of the agreement reportedly signed by the secretary of the Mandi Committee with the Jharkhand Beverage Corporation Limited.
