Jamshedpur, March 15: This month edition of Johar Haat, a Tata Steel Foundation initiative, themed around the festival of Sarhul began on March 14. The festival denotes the different colors of spring season in our life and reflects the close connection of human being with nature.
Keeping with the feel and touch of the season, the Haat will be consisting of art, craft, cuisine and colours comprising new entrepreneurs with their creative products. Evenings will be accompanied by Samuday Ke Sath (SKS) movie screening.
In this cycle of Johar Haat, two states of Jharkhand and West Bengal are participating representing four tribes-Kharwar, Munda, Oraon and Santhal-with total 21 participants.
During this cycle we also have workshops on Ragi cakes and pastries making, a session on homemade and handmade chocolates, tribal paintings and the Tribal Cuisine in this month will serve the delicacies served during the festival.
