Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi will be inaugurating the Durga Puja pandal of Thakur Pyara Singh Dhurandhar Singh Club, Kasidih, on 28th September.
Many other dignitaries will be present on the occasion. This year�s pandal will be modeled on an imaginary temple. This was informed by Abhay Singh, patron of the Club, on Friday.
He said free bhog will be distributed for three days. A cultural programme will also be organized by children after the pandal inauguration.
A puja fair will also be held from 28th September till 7th October. A total of 15 CCTV cameras will be installed in and around the pandal.
Around 700 volunteers including 75 women will take care of security at the pandal. In view of the huge crowding at the pandal every year, Abhay Singh has demanded deployment of around 15 to 20 lady constables at the puja venue.
He has also demanded special traffic arrangements at the pandal. The idol of Goddess Durga will be immersed on 4th October.
