Jamshedpur, Oct. 15 : After Chief Minister Raghubar Das and JMM national executive president completed their Johar Jan Ashirwad Yatra and Badlav Yatra respectively in the tribal dominated Kolhan region, JVM supremo and former chief minister Babulal Marandi also embarked on Janadesh (mandate) Yatra in the region.

Marandi, whose party does not have a MLA out of the 14 seats in the Kolhan division comprising districts of West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan started his campaign from Jamshedpur evening and followed it with  a rally at Chandil in Seraikela-Kharsawan.

Speaking to reporters, former Union minister in the BJP government prior to formation of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi attacked Raghubar Das claims of development due to double engine sarkar.

Government is spending more on publicity than actually on the grounds for the welfare of people. The Chief Minister also do not travel between Ranchi and Jamshedpur by road. The pathetic condition of NH-33 linking the two cities is known to everyone in the state. The CM has travelled by flights ever since formation of his government in 2014 and apparently is not aware of the ground level. With assembly polls drawing near, CM is scared of losing and this has made him take yatras. If the government had really done significant development then the masses would have automatically given him blessing instead of the CM requesting for blessing, questioned Marandi.

When questioned about his views on the completion of five year NDA Government in State, Marandi claimed that the law and order has hit an all-time low with broad daylight incidents of crime becoming a regular feature. Marandi claimed that the Raghubar Das-led government in the state had made several announcements at the time of elections but miserably failed to deliver on all fronts in its five-year-rule.

According to sources, with an eye on Assembly polls, a public meeting of senior leaders led by JVM chief Babulal Marandi will be called. The meeting is expected this month.

No doubt we had faced defeats in prior Lok Sabha elections. Leaving all differences we have to untie to fight the future Assembly polls, said Abhay Singh, secretary, central committee.
