Jamshedpur: Suspected Communist Party of India (Maoist) rebels pasted posters in different parts of Kuchai in Seraikela-Kharsawan late Wednesday night. The posters were noticed by the villagers early morning near Kuchai Chowk, Durga Mandir and other places. Cops confiscated the posters and began an investigation to identify the culprits.
Sources said the posters mainly contain messages on the Maoist bandh called on 1st and 2nd August and the Jharkhand-Bihar bandh called by the Maoists on 3rd August. People have been requested to make the Maoist bandh successful, sources said.
Sources said the Maoists have raised the issue of jal, jangal and jameen along with the issues pertaining to amendments made by the state government in CNT Act and SPT Act.
Cops recovered four posters pasted on a passengersí shed near Milan Chowk in Ichagarh.
In view of the recovery of posters, police have intensified patrolling in sensitive areas. Cops have been put on high alert, sources said.
