Noamundi: A meeting of mankis and mundas of 17 villages and teachers was held at Kotgarh High School on Thursday.
It was decided to upgrade the Kotgarh High School into a Plus Two school. The purpose of bringing forth the proposal was to ensure that the students from remote villages may be facilitated to pursue higher education without having to go to other places.
The participants of the meeting unanimously elected Chamra Purti, a social activist, as the chairman of the school management committee.
They also decided to start a security training centre launched by Ministry of Finance Government of India and driven by National Skill development Corporation in order to provide job opportunity to local youths in different commercial and industries.
Munda Madan Kerai, Mukhiya Ramchandar Tiriya, Manki Niranjan Bobonga, school principal Baneshwer Nayak Hati Ram Munda, Jingyashu Behra and many others were present during the meeting.
