Jamshedpur, July 25: The Department of Allied Health Sciences (AHS) at Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC), Jamshedpur, hosted undergraduate orientation programme to welcome its incoming undergraduate cohort for the academic year 2025–26. The event marked a significant milestone in the students’ journey under the prestigious Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), a NAAC A++ accredited Deemed-to-be University.
The programme commenced with a floral tribute to the visionary founder of MAHE, Dr. TMA Pai, setting a tone of reverence and inspiration. Head of the Department of Allied Health Sciences, delivered the welcome address, extending heartfelt greetings to the new students and their families.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Sahir Pall, Civil Surgeon cum Chief Medical Officer of East Singhbhum served as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Dr. Pall offered compelling insights into public health leadership and the evolving role of allied health professionals in India’s healthcare landscape.

Joining as Guest of Honour, Dr. Mullah Layaque Ali, Clinical Director at Brahmananda Narayana Hospital, shared an encouraging message, urging students to embrace their academic journey with dedication and compassion.
The event also featured addresses by several distinguished dignitaries, including Dean In-Charge, MTMC , Director, Academic Administration and Quality Advisor MTMC and Dean, MCHP, MAHE (online) ,each speaker offered valuable perspectives on academic excellence, professional ethics, and the transformative power of education.
Informative sessions followed, covering key aspects of student life such as academics, examinations, clinics and internships, research opportunities, hostel facilities, extracurricular activities, and various support systems in campus
