Jamshedpur, July 14: The residents of Hayatnagar in Mango have threatened to wage a massive stir against drinking water crisis in the area. They have been reeling under water problem for the last one month. This was said on Sunday by BJP Mahila Morcha president Fatima Shaheen.
Shaheen visited Hayatnagar and adjoining areas and spoke to local residents about the drinking water problem. She said the local residents had not got water supply for the last one month. She further alleged that the residents were also living in unhygienic conditions due to lack of cleanliness measures on part of Mango Municipal Corporation.
Shaheen spoke to Drinking Water and Sanitation Department officials and demanded water supply within two days. She said hundreds of women would gather at the department office and seek water from the officials in case they do not get water within 48 hours. She said state food minister Saryu Roy had sent her to meet the people and discuss their problems.
