Mango woman seeks protection from land grabbers

Jamshedpur, July 21: Durga Majhi, a resident of Kuli Road under Azadnagar PS in Mango, has in a written complaint to the East Singhbhum SSP and City SP that three persons namely Md Shahbanul Haq, Maz and Ibrahim with intent to illegally grab her plot of ancestral land have demanded ransom and threatened her with dire consequences. She requested for protection of life and property.

According to her complaint, Durga Majhi owns a plot of land whose Khata number is 315, Khesra 419 and Rakwa 0.12 Kattha. She stated that she returned home after setting a boundary wall around her land at 5:30 pm on July 17. The same night at around 11 pm, the accused persons had demolished the boundary wall with intent to grab that plot of land.

Durga Majhi requested the SSP and City SP to conduct an enquiry and bring the accused persons to book.
