Mango Municipal Corporation carries out anti-encroachment drive in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 28: Following the directive of the Deputy Municipal Commissioner, an anti-encroachment drive was conducted in areas under the Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC), including New Purulia Road, Old Purulia, and nearby localities.

During the operation, building materials and shop goods that were kept on encroached roadsides were removed. Shopkeepers were warned against occupying public space, and homeowners found violating the rules were fined Rs 5,000.

Officials emphasized that roadside encroachments led to traffic congestion and public inconvenience. They issued strict warnings stating that future violations would result in the seizure of goods without further notice.

Municipal Corporation officials and staff were involved throughout the drive to ensure effective enforcement.

  1. Good initiative taken by the Administration. Mango public habituated to encroachments. Paridhi chowk nh33 half of the road encroachments by food stalls, auto drivers chocking traffic. Good dumping on main road leaving on road from Kolkotta transporters. No check on consignment. Polic on duty spectators. Busy with collections.
