Jamshedpur, Oct. 20 : Mangal Singh Club beat Tata Steel Training Centre by 25 � 17 and 25 � 17 to win the JSA Open Volleyball tournament played at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Thursday, October 20.
Sunil Kumar Rai, R K Mishra, JA Murthy, Kamaljeet Singh, Balbinder Singh, Hareram and Arshad Ali officiated the matches of the entire tournament.Referees for the tournament were R K Mishra, J A Murthy, Arshad Ali and Kamaljeet Singh.
Deepak P Kamath, Sr. General Manager, (Support Services), Jusco was the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes along with Guest of Honor BhaskarRao, President (ESVA).Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Administrator (TFA & Sports) & VP (JSA) welcomed the guests.On the occasion Bagicha Singh, Satnam Singh, V Ramakrishna, Binod Kumar Singh (Asst. Secy, JSA), Purnima Mahato, Renu Bhaduri, Punam Kumari, Firoz Khan, Hassan Imam, Ramesh, Mrinmoy Of Sports Department and many Ex Volleyball players were present.Other awards for the day included- Sunil Tiwari, Ex National Volleyball player was honoured by JSA for his achievements and contribution in Volleyball game by Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, Vice President,JSA.
Best Player Award was presented to Ritesh Kumar of Mangal Singh Club by Sunil Tiwari, Ex- National Volleyball player.
On the other hand, JSA Open Hockey Tournament which was stopped since last 15 years is going to be revived again from this year by JSA and it will be conducted in December 2016.
