Manasi Club provides scholarship to 155 students

Jamshedpur, July 22: Manasi, Tata Motors Officers Wives Welfare Organization, hosted the Girl Child Scholarship Programme at Telco Club on Saturday.
Like previous years, this year too, Team Manasi embarked upon a couple of fund raising events which witnessed tremendous success.

The outcome was manifested truly in the Scholarship/Donation giving programme held today. This year Manasi provided 155 scholarships to economically backward students of 19 schools to empower them with education, thereby endorsing their motto WE DARE TO CARE. Further, it also donated generously to Nirmal Hriday, Parivar Kalyan Sansthan, Shishu Bhawan etc.

It is worthwhile to mention that Manasi Club has been able to meet its objectives to serve the interests of the marginalized sections of the society due to the generous support extended by several reputed companies of the city.

This year, Manasi Club invited the world famous Kulbhushan Kharbanda and his troupe from Padatik Theatre, who performed Atmakatha in February 2017. The programme was a huge success and drew appreciation and accolades from one and all. The club also provided platform to the students of Jamshedpur Schools to participate in Debate, Elocution and Creative Writing, both in Hindi and English through a programme called EKHO, held in December, 2016.

The combined proceeds of these events were judiciously used in sponsoring activities like cataract operation, supporting thalassaemia and leprosy patients and providing scholarships to girls of the economically backward sections of the society.

The President of Manasi Clubs and its Office Bearers expressed their deep sense of satisfaction on the dedicated efforts of its members and thanked the various Companies and individuals who helped them to realize their dream. She further said that Manasis constant endeavor has been to lend its helping hand for promoting girl child education, stand beside organizations for betterment of society and largely to do social welfare.

Earlier, the programme started with the lighting of lamp by Chief Guest A B Lall, Head, Jamshedpur Plant, Tata Motors and Bharati Lall, President of Manasi Club.

Among the many distinguished present were Ravi Singh, Head, HR & ER and Dr. M L. Ali, Head, Medical Services.
Manasi which started in the year 1997 has come a long way as it has grown from a small group of committed individuals to a registered welfare organization.
