Manasi Club distributes scholarships to 136 economically backward students

Jamshedpur, July 12 : Manasi, Tata Motors Officers Wives Welfare Organization hosted the Girl Child Scholarship Programme on Saturday, July 11.

This year Manasi provided scholarships to economically backward students to empower them with education, thereby endorsing their motto “WE DARE TO CARE”.

Besides providing students with 136 scholarships, it also donated generously to Anurag foundation, Nirmal Hriday, Parivar Kalyan Sangh and Manav Vikas School.

While looking after the disadvantaged / underprivileged members of our society it is also trying to revive our art and culture, essential in this fast paced mechanized existence.

The Manasi Committee with its President, Mrs. Bharati Lall, Secretary, Mrs. Papiya Choudhury. Jt. Secretary Mrs. EnakshiGanguly, Treasurer Mrs. Usha Mohan and Jt. Treasurer Mrs. JayshreeDhua& all members expressed their deep sense of satisfaction on the dedicated efforts of its members and thanked the various companies and individuals who helped them to realize their dream.

It is worthwhile to mention that Manasi Club has been able to meet its objectives to serve the interests of the marginalized sections of the society due to the generous support extended by reputed companies of the city namely, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, RSB, TACO, Jusco and others.

It may be noted that this year, Manasi Club invited the world famous Tanushree Shankar and her troupe, who performed fusion dances and Tagore’s ‘Chirantan’ on 28th March, 2015. Manasi also gave a platform to the students of Jamshedpur Schools to participate in Debate, Elocution and Creative Writing, both in Hindi and English through a programme called EKHO, held on 29th Nov, 2014.

Earlier the programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest A B Lall, Plant Head, Tata Motors Ltd, & Mrs. Bharati Lall, President of Manasi Club. Among the many distinguished present was Sampath Kumar, CEO (TML Drivelines), Sumant Kr Sinha , GM(ER,W & CSR), Ravi Singh , GM (HR), RanjitDhar, Head – Admn& Safety, Jamshedpur Plant.
