Jamshedpur, Aug 13: 30 year old Sheeshpal Tudu hacked his uncle Opind Tudu (70) and aunt Koki Tudu (60) to death with an axe late Monday night. The elderly couple was killed at the behest of black magic practitioners. A neighbor spotted the bodies in the morning and informed the police. He was later arrested from his field by the police. The incident happened in the Patamda village in East Singhbhum district.
According to information and Sheeshpal Tudu was worried about his wife�s perennial illness. He consulted a witch doctor in Bengal. The black magic practitioner told him that two persons staying in the house were responsible for his wife�s ailments and that if they were removed his wife would regain normal health. Late on Monday night, Sheeshpal came home drunk and attacked his uncle and aunt who were then sleeping with repeated blows of an axe that led to their instantaneous death. Sheeshpal then went off to sleep and in the morning went to his agriculture field. A neighbor discovered the bodies of the elderly couple and informed the police who arrested Sheeshpal from the field.
Sheeshpal has confessed to the murder. He told the police that he stayed with his wife and three children. He committed the heinous crime at the suggestion of the witch doctor.
