Jamshedpur, Sept 6: Social worker Kamal Kant Agrawal floated �Man Govind Manav Kalyan Trust� (MGMKT) in memory of his parents to serve the poor and needy in matters of education and marriage of daughters from economically weak households.
The purpose of forming the trust is to extend help to meritorious students from poor families to complete their education, provide financial assistance for marriage of eligible girls from economically weak backgrounds, organize free health camps, motivate youth in the fields of sports, art, culture and honour outstanding people in these pursuits and initiate tree plantation drives at regular intervals.
Members and officials of the trust at a meeting unanimously decided to install Kamal Kant Agrawal as the founder president of MGMKT and Chandragupt Singh as patron. The trust appointed Sushila Devi and Mahendra Agrawal Mahi as vice presidents, Nisha Agrawal as general secretary, Vinita Kumari and Kailash Agrawal as secretaries, Vijay Kumar Agrawal as treasurer and Khemu Agrawal, Sandip Agrawal and Shyam Lal Agrawal as working committee members.
Ankita Sinha (exemplary contribution in the field of literature and Vinita Kumari (social work) were honoured on the occasion with mementos and flower bouquets. Among other members present on the occasion were Kamal Laddha, Omprakash Debuka and Firoze Ahmad.
