Man ends life after losing in gambling

Jamshedpur: A 35 year-old man, identified as Bajrangi, died after reportedly jumping before a train near Ghaghra village under Manoharpur police station area on Wednesday. He was reportedly depressed after having lost all his money in gambling, sources said.

Police said the deceased, a resident of Muni Ashram Mohalla in Manoharpur, was disturbed after losing Rs 20,000 in gambling. Bajrangi had kept the money for performing the last rites of his mother-in-law, who passed away on 25th October last. He withdrew the same through ATM and went to gamble on Tuesday, said Sandhya Devi, wife of the deceased.

After losing the money, the deceased had a verbal duel with his wife over his habit of gambling. Bajrangi had told his wife that he would arrange money for his mother-in-law�s last rites. But on Tuesday, Bajrangi lost in gambling and could not arrange the money, said Sandhya.
