Noamundi: A person was died on the spot on Thursday, when an Iron ore loaded truck vehicle of Astha Enterprises rammed into his bicycle near Barajamda Railway Station.
He was identified as Banshidhar Gope, a resident of Jamda Basti. At the time of the mishap, the victim was on his way to market to sell firewood.
Government rail police has lodged a complaint against the driver who managed to flee the scene.
The truck has been seized. Ashta enterprise has given Rs 2 lakh as compensation to the next of the kin of the deceased.
