Man burns wife, mother alive in Jharkhand’s Chatra

Chatra: A heart-wrenching incident has taken place in Chatra district of Jharkhand. A young man burnt his mother and wife alive. The incident took place in Surhi Bagi locality of Pitij village of Itkhori police station area. Kuldeep Dangi, over a minor dispute, sprinkled kerosene on his wife Sabita Devi and mother Dilia Devi and set them on fire. Accused Kuldeep is absconding. Domestic dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident. Police is investigating the matter.

It was told that Kuldeep Dangi was at home with his entire family after having dinner on Thursday night. At around 11.00 p.m., neighbors heard screaming from Kuldeep’s house. When the neighbors reached Kuldeep’s house to get information about the matter, the scene there was heart-wrenching. Neighbors have told that Kuldeep’s wife and mother were surrounded by flames.

As soon as the neighbors saw the condition there, they started trying to save the daughter-in-law and mother-in-law. Kuldeep’s wife died on the spot. His mother was admitted to RIMS in critical condition, where she died during treatment. It is told that on the night of the incident, Kuldeep’s five-year-old daughter Divyanshi and two-year-old son Aman were also in the house. Both children are safe.

Parmeshwar Dangi, father of deceased Sabita Devi, has lodged an FIR against son-in-law Kuldeep Dangi at Itkhori police station. She has alleged that Kuldeep used to beat and torture her daughter since her marriage. He did not do any work and wanted to enjoy himself by asking money from his wife and mother. Due to this, there used to be fights every day in his house and this could also be the reason for the incident. Here, police station in-charge Vinod Kumar said that the police are busy searching for the accused. He will be arrested soon.
