Jamshedpur : A 22-year-old man slashed his left hand wrist at Kunwar Bustee under Mango police station area on Thursday morning. The man, Pankaj Pradhan, attempted suicide following a quarrel with his wife.
A resident of Nildih, Pankaj was rushed to the MGM Medical College Hospital emergency soon after he started bleeding due to the deep injury in the wrist. The doctors on the emergency duty have shifted to the ICU of the hospital in view of his serious condition.
A relative of Pankaj said that he was married to Nisha after an affair four years ago, and was living with his wife at his residence in Nildih.
The relative said as soon as the young man cut his wrist he was in a pool of blood within minutes. Soon the family members of Nisha with the help of the neighbours rushed the injured person to the medical college hospital.
Assistant sub-inspector of police, Suresh Prasad of MGM Medical College and Hospital’s camp police station said that the injured Pankaj was not in a condition to speak about the incident.
