Man arrested for stabbing brother to death

Jamshedpur, April 22: Three persons were arrested on Wednesday in connection with a murder case committed on April 7 last behind Haathi Ghora temple near Swarnarekha River under Sakchi police station.

East Singhbhum Senior Superintendent of Police, Amol V Homkar talking to the media persons said arrested three persons include brother of the victim Vinod Kumar Das (30), a resident under Sitaramdera police station area who was crushed to death by unidentified persons and a complaint was lodged after his body was recovered from behind Haathi Ghora temple near Swarnarekha river under Sakchi police station.

SSP further informed that a special police team was constituted headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (city) Animesh Nathani to investigate the case and during the course of investigation, three persons -�Rajesh Kumar�Das, brother of the victim, Nitesh Kumar Sonkar and Pramod Sharma – were arrested.�

During police interrogation, Nitesh Kumar Sonkar and Pramod Sharma accepted that they killed Vinod Kumar Das as he opposed Rajesh’s illicit relation with his wife, which strained the relationship between the two brothers, Homkar said.�

Rajesh, along with his two accomplices conspired and invited Vinod for a drink near the river bed, where they crushed him to death with stones, Homkar added.
