Jamshedpur, Nov 28: Police Wednesday arrested one Bhim Singh alias Panchu in connection with the killing of a woman and her daughter-in-law in Dhalbhumgarh police station area. They also confiscated the death weapon.
Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rajkumar Mehta said the accused had killed the women with a sharp weapon on their way home from farm on 25th November last. The accused hit the women on their heads when they were returning after harvesting paddy, causing their instant death, he said.
Police arrived at Panchu�s name during investigation. The killings took place as a result of an old land dispute between the accused and the deceased women. Panchu had long been planning the crime, said the SDPO.
