Man arrested for killing two women in Dhalbhumgarh

Jamshedpur, Nov 28: Police Wednesday arrested one Bhim Singh alias Panchu in connection with the killing of a woman and her daughter-in-law in Dhalbhumgarh police station area. They also confiscated the death weapon.

Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rajkumar Mehta said the accused had killed the women with a sharp weapon on their way home from farm on 25^th November last. The accused hit the women on their heads when they were returning after harvesting paddy, causing their instant death, he said.

Police arrived at Panchu�s name during investigation. The killings took place as a result of an old land dispute between the accused and the deceased women. Panchu had long been planning the crime, said the SDPO.
