Kolkata, July 28 (IANS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled the death of former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on Monday, and called him one of her “favourite people”.
“Very, very sad news. I had a special bond with Kalam ji. He was one of India’s favourite sons and one of my favourite people. A very sad day,” Banerjee tweeted from London.
In 2012, Banerjee was one of Kalam’s ardent supporters for a second presidential stint.
