Malls, shops and cinemas in Jamshedpur to remain closed on 12th May: DC

Jamshedpur, May 7: Preparations for polling at Jamshedpur Parliamentary seat are almost complete. East Singhbhum district administration has made elaborate arrangements for 12th May, the day of polling. Assistance centres would be set up at all 1885 polling booths across the district to help voters.

Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer Amit Kumar convened a meeting to discuss poll preparations with the representatives of various corporate houses. He appealed to them to help the administration create an enthusiastic environment for election. He said the voters should feel enthused on reaching polling booths.

The corporate representatives assured the DC to do their best in spreading voters awareness. They assured to make attractive entry gates, selfie points, temporary sheds and drinking water points at polling booths.

The DC said there will be a total of 25 women�s booths in the district and 129 model polling booths. He further said that all business establishments, malls, cinemas and shops would remain closed on the day of polling.
