Jamshedpur: As many as 50 youths from Baridih, Golmuri, Sidhgora and Parsudih joined East Singhbhum Congress Committee during a programme organized at Tilak Pustakalaya, Bistupur, on Sunday.
They were inducted into the party in the presence of senior district Congress leader Sardar Baldev Singh, state Congress general secretary Gayatri Das and state Youth Congress secretary Rakesh Sahu.
Addressing the new entrants to the party, Baldev Singh said it was now their duty to make the people aware about the failures of the Central government as well as of the Jharkhand government.
Singh alleged that the BJP-led governments had failed on every front. He said the new members of the party should fight for the youths, poor people, farmers and those living in the villages.
Presiding over the programme, Rakesh Sahu stressed the need to bring in more and more youths into the party fold in order to strengthen the organization.
He said the young generation had the responsibility of taking the country further on the path of development.
Among others present on the occasion included Gayatri Das, Usha Yadav, Reena Singh, Arun Singh, Surendra Sharma, Aruna Mukhi, Sunil Singh, Kamlesh Sao, Manoj Sao and Devashish Ghosh.
