Majority of women voted BJP into power: Vidyut Varan

Jamshedpur: The conference-cum-felicitation programme of Bharatiya Janata Party activists of Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency was organized at Dhalbhum Club auditorium, Sakchi, on Sunday.

The chief guest of the programme was the MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato. The programme was inaugurated by the former MLA of Jamshedpur West and senior BJP leader Saryu Roy who garlanded the portraits of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pundit Deen Dayal Upadhayaya on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Vidyut Varan Mahato said the BJP government had come into power at the Centre with the support of 90 per cent women of the country. He said the party activists had worked hard to bring BJP in power. He called on the party activists to work even harder to get total majority in the Jharkhand Assembly elections.

Also addressing the gathering, Saryu Roy said the conference was organized with the view to prepare for the Jharkhand Assembly elections. He said the BJP had fared well in the Lok Sabha elections due to the sincerity and dedication of women activists of the party. He said the women activists should keep up the good work and do it once again in the Assembly elections.

Many party activists were felicitated during the programme. They include Vimla Desai, Pramila Sharma, Jogindra Kaur, Shyama Mukhi, Sundari Sahu, G Tulsi, Rajpati Devi, Rita Singh, Kalyani Sharan, Rakhi Rai, Vinita Shah and Preeti Devi.
