Jamshedpur : The Uranium Corporation of India Limited ( UCIL) has stopped mining activities at Jadugora in East Singhbhum following a state government directive which was taken in light of recent amendments in the Mineral Concession Rules – 1960 , forbidding mining under deemed extension.
Jadugora mahila Samaj took out a rally demanding that immediate steps must be taken to renew the lease. Ranju Devi, Parvati Murmu, Padma Misra, Sobagya Das, Shanti Devi, Shobha were present.
