Mahashivratri at Sai temple on Feb 20 and 21

Jamshedpur, Feb 11: Sai Pariwar Vishwa Seva Sansthan, Jamshedpur, will organize a two-day Mahashivratri puja commencing February 20 at the Sainath Devsthanam complex in Ghorabandha. The worship will be performed in the newly constructed Shri Shivalay for the first time. A rhinestone Shiva Lingam has been installed in this temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

On February 20, Dhup Arti will be performed following which a Palki Yatra (palanquin procession) of Lord Shiva will be taken out. A programme of devotional songs has also been lined up for the day including floats depicting various episodes from the Lord�s scripture. The first day�s programme will concluded with Shej Arti.

The next day, on Friday, February 21, Lord Shiva�s worship and Abhishek will be performed between 5 am and 5 pm. From 7 pm onwards to 5 am next day, Lord Shiva will be worshipped in accordance with Vedic norms that would include Rudrabhishek, Shiv Vivah, Havan and Maha Arti. Consecrated food will be distributed among devotees on conclusion of Maha Arti.

The managing committee of the Sansthan has notified that devotees willing to participate in Rudrabhishek may enroll their names at the temple office.
