Jamshedpur: A statue of Maharaj Agrasen was inaugurated at Bada Chowk in Giridih under the joint aegis of Jharkhand Marwari Sammelan and Agrawal Samaj. The Bada Chowk will now be known as Agrasen Chowk, said the outfit members.
Earlier, a conference of Marwari community members was held at Modi Dharmashala.
The dignitaries present on the occasion included state president of Marwari Sammelan Nirmal Kabra, vice president Ashok Bhalotia, Shiv Hari Banka, Shravan Kabra, Suresh Sonthalia, Naresh Modi, Satyanarayan Agrawal, Umesh Sah, Ashok Modi, Basant Mittal, Sunil Paswan, Prakash Seth, Rakesh Modi and Mali Ram Agrawal.
