Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP leaders termed the opposition rally during nomination of Mahagathbandhan candidate Champai Soren a flop show.
Speaking to journalists, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar said the opposition had failed to get good response from the people and that it was least likely to succeed in the Lok Sabha elections. He said Mahagathbandhan unity had knelt down before Modi wave.
Kumar said the BJP governments were committed to the cause of Adivasis, Kurmis and Savarns. The government has empowered poor people and women, he said.
District BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand said the Mahagathbandhan did not enjoy mass support. He said Prime Minister candidate Narendra Modi was leading the NDA while other opposition parties had formed an alliance to contest the elections. He said the BJP candidate from Jamshedpur Parliamentary seat Bidyut Baran Mahato was sure to win the polls with historic margin.
