Noamundi, March 10: The villagers of Todotopo under Noamundi block celebrated Maghe Parv with fervour on Friday.
The Diwari (priest) of the village performed religious rituals at the village ground.
The villagers with traditional drum and attire took part in festival and danced in ecstasy to the tune of Maghe song devoted to the Nature God.
On Maghe festival, the tribal people pray to the Nature God to bestow nice harvest and a good crop upon them in the coming year and make everyone free from diseases.
The festive joy of the people ends with a collective feast at the house of the Munda. The Maghe festival is celebrated in an exquisite way every year in a grand manner.
