Jamshedpur, Jan. 2:The Madrasi Sammelani, Jamshedpur, which is 100 years old cultural organization, and on the threshold of celebrating its centenary year, has performed a Puja ‘Bhagavati Seva’, on Sunday, 1st January 2017 at its premises on the occasion of New Year.
Hundreds of members of the Sammelani as well as people from the community witnessed the puja who were later offered Prasad.
B Chandrasekhar, Chairman, Board of Trustees and N Ramamurthy, Vice-Chairman, Board of Trustees, G Shankar, President of the Madrasi Sammelani, K S Narayan, Vice-President,and M S V Sita, Hony Secretary, besides other committee members were present on the occasion to witness the puja.
The Bhagavathi Seva is an ancient Vedic puja ceremony done to restore balance in the environment and bring peace within us and the world.
It balances the malefic effects of planets. It is a very beneficial puja performed to keep us in harmony with cosmic forces, thereby removing and overcoming the sorrows of life and bringing spiritual uplifting. Bhagavathi Seva means worship or service to Goddess.
This religious rite is commonly performed in the evening to worship Goddess Parvathi, Durga, or kali. By performing this puja with devotion, the devotees and their families get the blessings of the Goddess and obtain longevity, health, wealth and happiness.
