Madhuri fan Pappu Sardar to set up Sainik Park in memory of Pulwama martyrs at Cheshire Home in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: As part of his tribute to the 44 CRPF Jawans who lost their lives in a militant attack at Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday February 14, philanthropist, social worker and Madhuri Dixit admirer Pappu Sardar planted 44 flower saplings at the Cheshire Home garden along with the physically and mentally challenged inmates.

The garden has been named Sainik Park and soon the place will be developed said Pappu. He said, �I will develop this Sainik Park in a manner that people will always remember the brave martyrs who laid down their lives to defend our motherland and keep us safe. This Park will remind visitors of the valor of our brave Jawans and will also add to make the environment cleaner and healthier.�

A two minute silence was observed in memory of the 44 bravehearts who were killed in a violent and inhuman extremist attack. Floral tributes were offered to the martyrs by the inmates and the sisters of Cheshire Home.

Pappu Sardar plans to inaugurate the Park on May 15, Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit�s birthday. He stated, �The Sainik Park is the concept of my elder sister Madhuri Dixit whom I really worship for her affection towards me. She is my inspiration and this Sainik Park will inspire visitors for the courage of the immortal martyrs.�

Pappu Sardar said that he was touched by the incident in Pulwama so he decided to contribute in the name of Madhuri Dixit. �I know it�s just a small step towards the society. But I am confident that others will also be inspired,� he noted.

It may be mentioned that Pappu has been celebrating Madhuri’s birthday since the mid-�90s and shot into the limelight for his attraction towards the actress. In 2008 he even got the opportunity to meet Madhuri. Such is his popularity that an American student did a research on his personality.

�She is my idol, no one could stop me from serving the society, which is closer to my heart than anyone else in my life,� said Pappu, while accepting greetings from his fans who were present on the occasion.

He organized lunch for the sisters and the challenged residents of the Home.

The Head of Cheshire Home, Sister Philomena observed on the occasion, �The Jawans who defend our borders are the real heroes. The 44 CRPF Jawans died to protect us. The whole nation is shedding tears in memory of these valiant martyrs.�

Pappu Sardar said that each of the 44 flower saplings will be named after the Jawans who were killed in Pulwama on Thursday, February 14.
