Madhuri fan Pappu Sardar finds mention in �Public Hinduism�

Jamshedpur: The popularity of city-based Madhir Dixit fan, Pappu Sardar, seems to be crossing international boundaries. An evidence of his growing popularity was given by the book �Public Hinduism�, a book written by journalist Shalini Kakkad.

The book mentions how Pappu worships Madhuri Dixit on her birthday every year and distributes sweets among the people of the city. The devotion of Pappu for Madhuri finds detailed mention in the book. The book also speaks on other types of devotion.

Kakkad had visited India on a tour from California. She has mentioned about Pappu Sardar across 11 pages with five photographs showing the Madhuri fan worshipping his �idol� on the occasion of her birthday.

The book also mentions how the priests Santosh Kumar Tripathy and his assistant priest chants matras to worship Madhuri as a deity. A large number of people gather on the birthday of Madhuri Dixit at Pappu�s Manohar Chaat shop at Sakchi.

Asked about his comment, Pappu said he literally cried when a copy of the book came into his hands. He said he was preparing for the birthday of Madhuri Dixit upcoming on 15th May.
